javed hamidLast Friday our guest speaker Mr. Javed Hamid (Former Director of East Asia and Pacific Region at the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), Economist at the World Bank and Analyst at the Brookings Institution) gave a presentation on International Careers, in which he emphasized multiculturalism in the workplace. Career Series

As part of Schiller’s Career Series, on Tuesday October 27, students from Schiller International University’s three European campuses – Paris, Heidelberg and Madrid will be meeting in Paris to welcome Total and learn about their business activities and career opportunities.

Monique Simon, Head of University Relations at Total, and Christophe Mouret, Director of Human Resources for Marketing & Services, Africa and Middle East will present the company, career opportunities and field a Q&A session. We look forward to the event!!

First Humanitarian Club meeting of the year

Schiller’s ‘Humanitarian Society’ joined heads today for their first meeting of the academic year 2015-2016. Aimed at students interested in human rights, supporting communities in need or addressing social ­issues, they discussed projects they could embark on. And a great turn-out it was! Rentrée 2015

Pour les étudiants qui ne sont pas encore inscrits en formation supérieure, le campus parisien de Schiller International University (SIU) accueille les étudiants qui cherchent une école pour la rentrée 2015. Histoire de ne pas perdre son année et avec à la clé un diplôme internationalement reconnu. Le système unique de SIU permet d’offrir à chaque étudiant la possibilité de commencer ses études quand il le souhaite et de s’inscrire aux cours en début de chaque mois. Un système unique à ce jour dans les pratiques actuelles de l’enseignement supérieur.

De plus, chaque étudiant a la possibilité de choisir le nombre de sujets par matière en sélectionnant son propre rythme d’étude à travers le système mensuel mis à sa disposition. Chaque sujet est étudié intensivement pendant un mois avec un professeur expert dans ce domaine. Les étudiants peuvent changer de campus après quatre mois successifs de cours suivis avec succès et poursuivre leur formation sans charge supplémentaire sur un autre campus.

Student International Food Day

Staff potluckand students tucking in to some rather delicious food yesterday at the multicultural luncheon. Have you ever tried ‘Adobo’, a typical Filipino dish? No, neither had we! Dishes from South Africa, Germany, Canada, USA, Italy, Nigeria, Lebanon, UK, France, Colombia, to name just some of the treats we feasted on!
